Source for VALAB AC connectors, or suggest alternates?

 I'm looking to build a few more power cords. I have a few "Asylum" cords, but I'm in need of more, and I see that the Vintage Audio Lab rhodium-plated copper with the polycarbonate bodies seem to be well spoken of, and they fit my budget. But, where to get them?? I see that VALAB sells via eBay, but the only IECs I see from them are the 2-pin, C7 type. Can someone suggest a source, or an alternate connector of similar price? I require U.S. AC plugs as well.

I thought I'd use the LoRad 2.5 cable, and I have P&S 5242 outlets. These cables will be used for source equipment.

Many thanx in advance for any assistance.

 Thanx for the link. As I indicated in my original post, however, they offer no 3-pin IEC plugs of the rhodium-plated copper variety.

Thanx also for the suggestion of the Supra AC plugs. I wasn't able to find any discussion of them on the forum. Can you relate your experience?

 I've used the regular (non-carbon) rhodium/copper IEC connectors. They are ok but no better than the regular Marinco plugs...IMO. I haven't used the Supra connectors so I can't comment except to suggest that they would be worth a try with the Supra wire.

 Sonarquest on eBay from HK. IMO Cu only, not sure of advantages of Rhodium plating. Cu has lower speed but also lower resistivity than Rhodium. I prefer un-plated Cu, treated with Caig for oxidation.

 As well as ordering the rhodium plated Valab AC connectors, I suggest you also consider ordering an inexpensive set of unplated bare brass AC connectors to terminate the Supra LoRad 2.5 power cable with. You can then choose which sonic flavor might fit your low-budget audiophile goal. The two different AC connector designs will certainly sound different, with perhaps one design sounding better to your ear.

 Please never ever buy their carbon aluminium casing ac connector.

It has a safety issue ad it is uninsulated . Should the iec ends wire come loose and contact the body, one will get electrocuted if you touch the body as it becomes live!
