Who can tell me about these interconnects? Vintage, price, construction materials/philosophy etc.

Just picked up a 2m pair and fairly impressed. They're the white ones without the active shielding. Have searched but found scarce info about them. Are they actually silver?

So far they're the only IC's in my price range that give my DIY solid core/air dielectric Magnet Wire jobbers a run for the money. Probably a better midrange at the price of slightly flabbier bass. So far happy with the top end too. Think they may have sat for a while because either they are opening up after a couple hours or my ears are getting used to them. Plan to give them a couple weeks of playtime.

System:Sota Sapphire--->N.Koren spiced PAS3--->Acoustat X's with servo amps

I think they've made TAS recommended cables list several times at their price point. They've been around for awhile. Supposedly a nice, even-handed cable, so your ears must not be lying.

Well after a week I put my DIY magnet wire/teflon tubing IC's back in and breathed a sigh of relief. I just couldn't get used to the loose bass. The better mids and highs were only marginally improved compared to the loss of articulation in the bass.

Sigh, always a trade off to be had. Either I really hit the mark on my DIY IC's or I am going have to bite the bullet and really spend beyond my price range to get the improvement I'm looking for.
