Has anyone tried the FI-50 (G)? I can't find much information on it.

The gold plated version of the FI-50 is an exclusive product available from VH Audio. It's the same design as the rhodium plated version, but features gold plating instead.

I have. Sort of. Actually the FI-50's were already installed on a $2500 power cable I purchased and it was the Rhodium version. Not the gold.

I eventually sold that cable because sonically it was just a bit inferior to my custom $100 power cable that employed cryo-treated wiring and the Furutech F-11M copper units.

Thanks. I was curious as to the differences between the two. I have heard the Rhodium version a few times. I have not seen any information on the sound of the Gold.

Chris recommended Neotech NEP-3200 Copper AC wire.

A little pricey (for me anyway)... but sure looks good on paper.
