Interested to know how is the connector element constructed. Is it a wipe type connector that cuts the surface like BNC connectors? Or is it just a spring contact? Will it eventually fatigue and fail?

Thanks

I've been using XLR connectors for 10 years or so, and never had one fail.

on my Technics SP-10 PSU is failing. It is probably 30 years old.

So i am going to replace it.

Most are just leaf spring wiping contacts like the BNC. Never had a reliability issue but a cheap connector can fail.
