I recently got two of Pete's power cords - one 7+ for my VTL ST 150 amp and 0ne 10+ for my VTL 5.5 II Sig. Preamp. They are making a nice difference - more detail, greater weight and depth, increased bass at leat to my ears. Never harsh. Perhaps a tad warm.
I'm wondering abot the IC's. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

I use spirits on my sacd/cd player. They replaced goertz silver interconnects. I really like silver interconnects as I use tubes and prefer classic or "darker" components and feel the silver adds a little presence on top.

The Spirits retained the zing and have a nice weight and presentation. Not a night and day difference but worth the money to me and I kept them.

I really really liked the goertz silver and put that on my cinemag step-up. It juiced up the vinyl nicely but with a little hum. I went back to older audioquests and it is now quiet but not quite as lively as the goertz. (And I am keeping them and will continue to try to get a set up where I can banish the hum and keep the goertz in the system).

As to your question a really wonderful interconnect and you have a 30 day money back trial period so you can return them. Pete is nice to deal with and I honestly did not think the goertz were going to move over for them.

Have Fun.

Thank you for the detailed reply. I'm really liking Pete's power cords. They make a big difference on my amp and pre. I'm Using Paul's Clear Day IC which is silver. I use his double shotgun speaker cable. I like the speaker cable quite well. I'm Not sure I'm so keen on the IC, hence my question about the Spirit IC. I hope it is not kimber like at least toward their lower priced options.
Thanks again

I've heard them and compared them against the Analysis Plus Solo Crystal oval's in my system. I have to say, both are really close sound wise, with just a bit more transparency going to the TWL's.

Pete's IC's are $350, with a 30 day trial.
AP's are $550

To me that's a no brainer.

No problem Ben.

I use Pete's digital power cord on my sacd player and power cord (forget the number - 7 I think on my preamp. I am probably going the "loom" route and switch over to spirits on my sources over the long haul. I use anti-cables for speaker cables (love em - but Paul had to do some special work) and will not replace those. I will also try to get the hum out of the system as I really want to keep the goertz silver on the turntable but value the quiet I have now.

I should have offered and will now if you want to borrow the spirits, (in case you do not want to bother Pete) the goertz, or any cables get ahold of me and I would be willing to lend them to you to check out in your system. I have a lot of cables hanging around as I am a certified audio lunatic.

BenE-

it would be interesting (to me) to read about some one using the Stage III Concepts PC on VTL gear.

Thanks for the kind offer. I've got a few pairs of things laying around. Even have a pair of the anti-cables speaker that I haven't used in ages and only used them briefly. BobM compared the spirits to the analysis plus at 550.00. Pete says they are better than au24se. If true they would be a bargain. Not so much against a 550.00 retail fully commercial product sold through dealers like analysis plus given the "no middleman" deal. Don't know that's why I'm so curious.
Thanks again

Excellent ICs (I use Pete's fantastic power cords throughout my system). Not far below my reference ICs, which cost 4x as much.
