I am just keeping you posted like you asked the MIT line is very nice for this naim 5i-2. I did come across something. A good friend of mine who has a lot of MIT all the way up to oracle line told me the style line cable has a impedance setting of medium 47k to 90k. The naim has a input impedance of 20k. there is a little bit of impedance mismatch. I told him it sounded nice and he told me I will be over and show you. He came over with a pair of shotgun s3 interconnects form the 2005-2009 MIT era. we listened to Ben Webster soul-ville. with my cables in sounded nice and detailed nice with and sound staging. He took out the style line 6 interconnects and put on the shotgun s3 interconnects. the stye line 6 has 6 poles of articulation and the shotgun s3 has 4 poles of articulation.. He pointed out the shotgun impedance switch was set to low which is 5k to 50k. and the input impedance on the naim 5i-2 is 20k. I am thinking yeah whatever these are not going to be any better than the ones I have.. Well I was wrong the sound stage was much bigger and deeper with more texture the music and horns on the Ben Webster track went way behind and around the speakers..So I guess the the input impedance does make a difference. we put my cables on my sons primaluna prologue 2 which has a input impedance of 60k which is medium which the stye line is set for and set the shotgun s3 to medium impedance with the switch and they where much closer in sound not much difference at all very interesting so input impedance matching is very important after all..

Outstanding! earnie3-

Coincidentally, last year I spent some demo time w/ Audioquest cables/cords that were about 10 years old- you never would have guessed as the sound was awesome. There is nothing wrong w/ older cables/cords, they still can "bring it".

This is fun. I switched the impedance switch to hi for fun lost all bass top end was etched and sound stage collapsed. put it back to "LO" where it belongs and man some of the nicest music I have ever heard out of these speakers came out..have a great day..

I don't think it was more or less old vs new cables but of a impedance mismatch. The shotgun s3 might be a better cable than the styline 6 but they where very close on a integrated with medium impedance input...

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of listening to some outstanding PC. At this juncture, the Stage III Concepts, offered by Brian @ Aaudio Imports. Late last year the line was over-hauled w/ newer models. Seek out the older models- the beauty w/ this line- is that on only needs the entry level PC. Sure it gets much better as one goes up the chain.

Silent Source would be a close 2nd.

Thirdly, I have not demo'ed (and would like to) the EnKlein, Kubala, Telluriurm, Entreq. So many wonderful cables/cords, so little time...
