I have the Tara Labs Time and Space cables which I love but I expect that sold-core speaker cables have progressed since these were made 20 years ago.

After doing a fair amount of research on DIY cables, I've just ordered a pair of Tempo Electric Silver Solid Core speaker cables. Their design approach seemed very interesting and they have a host of positive reviews. Just under $300 with shipping and a 30 day money back guarantee. Will start listening sometime next week. I stream audio live off the Internet only to; Mac Mini, Schitt Bifrost DAC w/Wyrd USB Interface, ARC LS17 preamp, HK Citation II tube amp (upgraded by M. Samara), Merlin TSM mmm Black Magic speakers. Hope this is an improvement.

Cables, just as everything else in audio, have changed, some feel for the better, some feel for the worse. Even Tara Labs cables have changed a lot in the last 20 years, they are more articulate and revealing these days.

Some will love this increased resolution, some miss the musicality of the previous designs. I would say that if you are still enjoying the Space & Time cables, continue to enjoy them. Newer cables will sound different, but not necessarily better to you.

My thought as well. I'm using a cable design that's been around for years and have no desire to change. Never hurts to explore, but I'd keep the Tara around for a safety net.

I use DNM and I find them to be great, great stuff. They even have an upgrade path when using the HFTN or the new ZRTN options.

Clear Day Double Shotguns. These solid silver cables replaced much more expensive cables (Kubala-Sosna) and several higher priced contenders.

I am using a double run of these Tara Labs.., posted on February 12, 2015 at 10:45:20

They are really wonderful. I started with a single run biwire which was great, then I turned the biwire pair into single wire, and added another pair. So now its double run biwire. Everything got better, especially in the bottom end. Not 100% sure they are really Tara Labs, but they beat all the other big names I have tried, and the price is great.

AB.

+1 on the ClearDay. The Double Shotgun offers the best price/performance ratio IMHO. A good way to explore solid core silver without breaking the bank...... liberal audition policy as well.

Nice, look into Audioquest, Signal cable and Silent Source- all of which is a sonic match for Thiel speakers.
