Thanks for your interest in my topic.

As we know, different cables can have a different effect on the sound space. And now I would like to know a power cord with the most large, imaging, holographic and open soundstage.

The first candidates from me:
Synergistic Research with tungsten conductors
Crystal Clear Audio
Elrod Power Systems

(Can't say which one is best.)

Maybe one of them is best.
Or Clarus Crimson.

I work strenuously to achieve a great image. In dong so I fairly quickly found that unshielded power cords were much better at returning a large image. Passive filtering of RFI and EMI as well as outlet AND cover upgrades play a role in image size, image detail and coherency in my experience.

Unfortunately, I have not tried neither of these cables. This is a new direction for me, so I want to make the best choice on the way to improve the soundstaging of my system.

For me that PC will be Waveform Fidelity GS MK3, available tuned for either a source (low powered)component or high power component like an amp.

$6,900! I think I'll go with the midline at $10,900.

Yes Kaziust,
for most of us, the entry-level pc will do. I did hear both the Vortex & Vortex Prime. Simply outstanding! I can only imagine hoiw th upper level pc sounds. Seek these out on the used/demo market. Happy Listening!

Thank you! Maybe you can compare the Vortex Prime with other cables that you have listened? Which of them have been worse, and did you tried something better?

Sure Kazuist,

honestly, I did not hear a remarkable difference between the Vortex & Vortex Prime. I say buy the Vortex and spend the left -over money on music.

Prior to discovering the Stage III Concepts, here are a few power cords that I have spent a considerable amount of time;
Audioquest
Nordost
Signal Cable
Silent Source -(my 2nd fave PC)
Straight Wire
Transparent to include the OPUS
Wireworld - Electra 7 (very nice PC)

All of these cables were in different systems over the last 3 years.
Both tubed and solid-state gear were used. It would be hard to pin down one specific PC, as they all are excellent, in their own sonic signatures.

Until i can demo the Elrod, Prana, Kubala Sosna, Enklein...
The Stage III Concepts remains my #1 while the Silent Source is easily #2.

It is only through listening at the various dealers/retailers that makes this kind of assessment possible. IMO, one can never listen to pc enough!

Organic Audio Power Cord or and of the Argento Audio power cords.

All of them cover the areas you are looking for and sound just like music to boot.

passive chappy, what other power cables you have tried? These brands, notably the Argento Audio, are quite popular in my country, but I would like to learn more about Organinc Audio's ability of soundstage formation. (Of course I mean the power cords.)

The brands of power cords I've heard were -

Acoustic Zen
Analysis Plus
Audioquest
Cardas
Crystal Cable
Custom Power Cord Company
Kimber Kable
Kimber Select
Marigo
Naim
Nordost
PS Audio
Purist Audio
Shunyata Research
Siltech
Stage III Concepts
Straight Wire
Transparent
Wireworld
XLO

As you can see I've been around the block with this stuff. But in IMHO all of it was bested by the Organic and Argento cords.

The Organic is copper based. The Argento silver based. To me they both have the same general sound in just disappearing and letting the music dominate. Now there is a difference because of the copper vs silver, but the cables do not sound like copper or silver as one would be used to. When you listen to them details like imaging and soundstage become a living whole. It just sounds like music in natural space. I hope that makes sense.

And now there's a Organic Reference out that sits between the Organic and the Argento. That stuff is jaw dropping.

Definitely check it out if you can.

Thank you! I did not very interested in the listed brands, except for Acoustic Zen (have the Absolute Copper IC) and Stage III, which I already discussed with fantja. Now I'm intrigued by your experience with Stage III and would like to learn more about the new Organic Reference line. Please tell me more about this.

Acoustic Zen is nice stuff. Funny story about the Stage III, I heard it at a dealer show demo and it sounded great. I talked to the distributor about the lower priced cables in the line and he said it was not worth listening to and that the Stage III was the only cable worth spending any time on discussing. I said OK, but was thinking, 'Say what?!!!" How can you trash everything you're selling except your top line product. We're not all made of money. All of the other cable in the line were on silent display. I might of liked the other cables if I could have tried them but never got a chance to hear them because it wasn't worth the distributor's time. I really don't like dealing with people who think that way. It gives me no confidence in them whatsoever.

But I will say that the Stage III sounded really, really, really good. I think (imho) the Organic Audio sounds better to me because it sounds more natural and musical to me. The Organic Reference is just a big step up. It's just more gripping and really hold your attention I say. It would go great with tube gear. And it would work great with a lot of solid state stuff out there. If Argento didn't exist I'd be all over this. It's just that I prefer silver to copper, when it's done right. And Argento just sounds so nice and easy to me. Like the effect a comfy chair has on your back.

I think you should be able to listen to a piece in your system, or any system for that matter, and forget it's there and just dig the music. If you can put anything into your system and just say that the music sounds excellent and not even think about all of the audiophile details people get caught up in then then you've found the answer.

Quite a list -passive chappy.
Many Thanks, for your insight and comparison of the Stage III Concepts.
It is a rare thing to find others who have auditioned these pc(s).
In the last 3 years, you are the 3rd person who has actually listened.
I know the cords are expensive and tend to be on heavy rotation at the Audio Events, I am not certain about the amount of actual dealers/retailers, though...

That's interesting. Recently I spoke with the main distributor of Stage III exactly about the low-end models, but it was easy to talk. I had already forgotten about Organic, so thank you for reminding. Maybe you know, when, where, and for what price the Reference line will be available?

Brian @ Aaudio Imports does a pretty good job.

I knew that I was forgetting a pc, Jorma Cables.

An MIT Magnum AC2 for amplification or Transparent Reference for any application. Voodoo and pseudo science does not make for great sound. Unless the cables deal with real world AC issues then they are problematic with variable degrees of usefulness.

Sometimes, we forget about any cable being a "filter". For better or worse, these are the facet(s) they bring into any system.

RE: The most holographic Power Cord , posted on December 14, 2014 at 17:21:25
Transparent cables filter out the crap that ruins the audio signal. No other cables I have used or demo ' d come close. Other cables can offer exotic materials and construction techniques, but they do not fundamentally address the noise issue. The results are startlingly lifelike dynamics, tone, contrast and dimensionality in an airy , deep and wide soundstage!

Thanks again for sharing- dave b.

to be fair, speaking about Transparent PC(s), I have only heard the OPUS model on 3 occasions in 2012 & 2013. For this kind of money/performance ratio, I would expect nothing less.

In the past, I owned Transparent mid-level IC(s) MM1 series. They were superb for my somewhat mid-fi system circa 2004/2005. Also, around that time I did listen to the upper level offerings in a $50K Claase'/B&W/Lexicon system. I know that all of these cables/cords get sweeter as you go up the "chain".

"Transparent cables filter out the crap that ruins the audio signal."

Why not just use competent filtering in the power supply of the amp? A cable simple provides AC voltage to the power supply whose entire function is to provide filtered DC to the active devices that amplify the signal. It makes no sense to buy an expensive cable when a competent engineer can make a clean and quiet power supply. That's where the filter should be installed.

Due to some difficulties, I decided to delay the purchase until middle of January. Having a few free weeks, I want to choose between Stage III Vortex Prime, Argento (If one used will be aveilible.) or top of the line Crystal Clear Audio. There are another possible options, such as Silent Sourse or something else.
