Interested in upgrading the power cables on my pre and power amps. Spoke with ARC, and was advised to not even bother wasting my money on a power cord unless I step my game up to over 600 bucks, as they already supply a high quality power cable, and buying anything cheaper will be a waste. Not sure what to think of this. Now, the cord supplied with my amp seems to be a pedestrian 20 amp/ 12 gauge power cord. The pre- a 15 amp 14 guage. They do sound good. Am I to assume that these are high quality OFC cables? Don't want yo waste my money. He would not give recommendations. I have some furutech ends,( I would just need to by a 20 amp version for the power amp, but I'm not sure where to get a quality bulk cable. I tried the belden 12 guage, (red Jacket) but it's way to stiff. Maybe furutech bulk cable? Would it even be worth it? According to arc, probably not m |
