for the Double Shotgun

My system had changed. I went from HT surround to pure two channel. An Anthem AVM 30 pre pro to the Mystere CA21 tubed preamp. The wire I was using on the fronts was Synergistic Research spec 6. The Mystere really brought my outfit up more then a few notches. But something was still missing. I had read about Clear Day cables and not once did I read one bad thing about them. I talked to Paul, told him what I had and what I listen to and he made some suggestions. I bought the Double Shotgun.
I waited about three weeks of almost non stop playing before posting anything. The first thing I noticed was how much more body there was to everything. It made wire I had used before sound thin by comparison. Aside from the full sound they have, neutral and transparent is what I hear. The name "Clear Day" fits this product. Music is clear and detailed without being harsh or glaring. This clarity allows micro detail to really pop.
Soundstage is another thing all together. High , wide and deep. Images are well outside the speakers with a presentation that sounds more real then anything I've ever had. Bass is another area that improves with Clear Day. Tight and tuneful with the timber of the instruments on full display. With classical music, double bass, weather bowed or plucked is so much better now. And with the wide stage and excellent separation you can follow whatever section of the orchestra you like. jazz is just as good weather it's big band or trio.
As with most posts about Clear Day, you have to mention Paul. Great guy to deal with because he likes music just as much as you do. And he want you to have the right cable for you system and listening taste.
The Double Shotguns are outstanding in my system. If you have more money to spend on speaker cable, listen to this one after you have decided to spend a ton. Paul will send you a pair to audition. Buy music with the money you save.

Product Weakness: Don't know if this is a weakness but it's a very unassuming cable. not very big or heavy.
Product Strengths: neutral detailed and big sounding.

Have been using them ( ClearDays) for over 3 years with no desire to look elsewhere. The only other cable I've tried during this period was the Auditorium 23. Sold them within a month.

Hi Coach,I'm really glad you tried the Clear Day cables! They are truly something very special and really are all about making music sound like real live music. I agree with all of your findings in your review. Also, Paul is really a great guy to deal with. You will discover that the cables will improve over time. I also have the Mystere CA-21 preamp as you probably know and the Mystere and the Clear Day cables are a great combination.

Hiendmuse, after letting them cook in for about three weeks, I was blown away by what I heard. I thought my system was good before. I know there still breaking in, but I can't see how they could sound better then now,but every day there are small changes in familiar music. Just a great product.
