These seem a popular upgrade for the 68uF caps on the M2 Power Supply Board, given their physical size how are people siting & connecting the Mundorfs.

My Tube Caps are 47uF is this a suitable replacement for the 68uF or would 100uF Tube Caps be better.

Any help gladly appreciated.

Hello
I used 2 Elna Cerafine 47 uf 500v on this place
and it worked fine
you dont need 100uf there .
And i think the mundorfs are also very good caps
please let us now your experience.

Attached is a photo of my install in an M3. The improvement will be well worth the cost and time. Tony

Thank you for the pics and advice on the Elnas - i will let you know how it goes.

I love those copper pipes!

I also put them in a couple of Dac kits. In the dac, space is at more of a premium, but I was able to get them all in!

I believe the value I used was the exact of the standard M2 ps = 100uf & 220uf.

There is a decided difference in sound for the better vs stock. Of course, sound perception is subjective and there are some who prefer the Mtube to Black Gate wkz...

I had finally fitted the Mundorf caps. I decided to get as close to the previous value at 68uF by adding a 47 and 20. It is a tight fit but I stacked them on top of each other (47 at the bottom).

It just fits, heightwise!

Very pleased with the sound which seems fuller and more detailed and also more bass. I am going to change the 20uF on the board to Tubecaps as well.

Happy days.

Hi blueixus,
Recently I did improvements to AN DAC 4.1 M2 power supply! All resistors is AN tantalum. I replaced AN copper foil C8-0,22/C1-0,47 with Mundorf Supreme silver oil (C1-1uF)and I put pin 7 of ECL82 to ground with 0,22 Mundorf supreme. I replaced the ordinary choke with E-choke from TentLabs. In 5687 line board I replaced 0,1 AN with Mundorf Supreme silver gold oil. Sound has changed radically!!! Is much better that way! Soon I will add two filament power supply from TentLabs for each 5687! I'm sure it will change anything!
All the best!

About the silver mundorf and the copper AN
there is no contest the AN is much much better
you did much changes in on time
please try the AN caps again it will sound even better!
I used the Mundorf silvers a few times on different places but a AN copper was always better.
And i find the Mundorf silver gold not better then the Mundorf silver (used in tube amps)
the AN silver is the best of the best
