Ok I'm going to have to be the one in the room to ask - WHY would you need to use this tube over the other boards that already have tweaked the crap out of equally as good driver tubes?
The 6h30 has recently become the darling preamp tube simply because it's found in a few high end premaps. Right now hype is your enemy. It is a good tube but as all things electronic - it's all circuit dependent. And I'm not talking simply about the driver board.
My favorite is the VTA board that uses the 12BH7. Then 12ax,at,au
Side note: Since Reflecktor the original company that sold them sold out, it seems everyone is having a darn hard time getting a 6h30 of equal sound quality. Just sounds like you will be chasing your tail. go for a good 12BH7 on the VTA board.

I used to read the threads/posts on diytube.com for the st70 topic under amplifiers. Shannon Parks board might work if you can find one on eBay or somewhere else. Take a look at Uncle Ned's post (10 post down) in the linked thread below.
Unlikely a popular view :-) Bought my ST70 New 'back when' Modded the hell out of it. Expensively actually... grrr. IMO it's a crappy amp.. upgradable to Mediocre with the application of Lotsa $$. Limited not only by it's design but by it's Iron. Move along to something else. It really won't hurt. Your Phantasy / Your $$ .. just saying what I learned :-)
