Denon avr 2313 stays on, won't shut off...wife says she pushed buttons the other night. I pressed on/off button, used remote, unplugged AC cord and plugged back in, always on (green LED).

Where do I find support?

If it stayed on while unplugged...... get a priest. LOL

I knew what you meant, I'd check the owner manual for a support phone number or try an internet search for your issue, sometimes it's a wealth, and sometimes it's bust. Usually though others have had the same problem and something will come up.

No time to go back and edit yet. Will try what you suggested. The system is connected to TV downstream thru HDMI cabling. Now the remote for TV won't control volume but the Denon remote works.

You're funny--great comeback on it staying on with no AC.

Leave it unplugged overnight. Also you said TV remote won't control the volume. Do you mean the actual TV volume and it's built in speakers or what? You said the Denon remote works so again you mean it controls the Denon volume and/or the TV volume.

Hey, if you programmed the remote to operate more than one component, your wife may have accidentally pushed the button that tells the remote which component you are trying to operate.

For example, my satellite remote will operate my receiver, and it did operate my last TV, If one of the buttons gets pushed, like the one to operate the TV, then I can't operate the satellite receiver, to turn channels etc. so I'll have to hit the button for satellite. So check those buttons if the remote does operate more than one thing.

Another possibility, if your receiver HDMI has the ARC feature, this is to where the TV sound can travel back through to the receiver, depending on what source is on, it could cause remote mix up issues.

thanks for your help...awaiting Denon tech response.

However, I think I found the problem. It was on Audyssey on or off dunno, but this am, was able to get out of that, and voila!, back to normal.

I don't have a good concept of zone 2, intefering with main zone on and off and the receiver power being on.

Can you explain it?

I found a post on line with the same issue, but still don't have a good grasp, being a 2 ch man.

Sorry, I've never used the Zone 2 stuff before either. I was just teasing about it being my next suggestion.

You might try posting in the "video" forum which is like the HT forum for here.
