I am sorta new and I have an odd setup that I don't know is the best it could be. I have a Denon turntable hooked up to a Bellari tube amp. I have a Presonus T8 subwoofer with lines going out to two Presonus Eris 5's. I use the gain on the tube amp for volume, but it there something else I could use that would be better. It doesn't have to be a tube amp. Or, is my setup even setup properly?

As long as you are getting enough gain to drive the powered speakers, that simple arrangement should work fine. The Bellari has low output impedance (100 ohms) so there shouldn't be a mismatch driving the amps.

I used to have a Bellari VP129 phono preamp. It offers pretty decent performance for its modest cost. It really is a hybrid design since the four op amps do most of the heavy lifting.

First thing is: If it sounds OK to you.. Then it IS OK.
One of the best audiophile rules is "If it sounds OK to you, don't worry about some guru claiming it is wrong."

So.. If it make you happy, it makes YOU happy.

I think my system sounds just fine. I've experimented with 4 cartridges - the Grado Blue, Ortophon Red 2m, Shure M97xE and the Sumiko Pearl. The Grado is amazing to me and I highly recommend it to anyone. I've also played around with different tubes for my Bellari VP530, but they all sound the same to me, so I just stick with the Telefunken gold tip black diamond I initially bought for it. Overall, I love my system. I just don't know enough about speaker setup and the preamp I have to feel confident it is set up correctly. But, I am encouraged that it sounds just fine to me. I appreciate the comments guys!

As E-Stat mentioned, the Bellari hybrid tube phono preamplifier with gain control should be sufficient in terms of its basic function, but you certainly could choose a better one depending on your budget. One thing to recommend is to buy an audiophile-quality external power supply rather than use the stock wall-wart, which if your model is the Bellari VP130, it features a 15V 300mA switch-mode wall-wart. Switch-mode wall-warts are notoriously poor sounding for audiophile applications, so a regulated linear power supply upgrade should be a very good thing if you decide to keep the Bellari preamplifier in your system.
