Any recommendations on an upgraded power supply for the Musical Fidelity V90-LPS phono preamp? It sounds very good as is, however the stock PS is a tiny wall wart. Any less expensive compatible alternatives to the upgraded MF power supply that costs $249????

The new Music Direct catalog arrived in my mailbox today and lists an iFi ipower power supply. It looks like an upgraded power wart but these guys do have a good reputation for their products. They are described as having 5v, 9v, and 12v models. You can't lose by calling them or searching for more information.

Thanks. Most of those recommended go for well over $150. I wound up picking up a 12V 2A switching power supply on EBay (made in China) for $6.90 shipped. It even has a removable 2 prong powercord and is at least 3X the size of the current wall wart. I'll see how that works out.

I don't know if you can make this work at the right price, but I'm using the Monolithic P3b power supply that was feeding my Perpetual Technologies DAC and DSP. I just had to build a simple power cable to fit the V-90 (didn't want to butcher the power supply that came with the V-90). It was easy soldering for this beginner.
