Any own this McIntosh receiver?

If so, what are your thoughts & how would you describe it's sound?

Also, would you characterize it as an "audiophile-grade" receiver/integrated?

I know very little about these. But I do know that he MAC 6700 is really more of a MA 6700 (integrated) + tuner module installed. And it has a built in DAC which I'm not a big fan of "all in one" pieces.

Mac's are a taste. Now the question is do you prefer that sound signature.

Aren't all receivers basically an integrated with a tuner module installed?

WAY better than Marantz PM 15 S2.
Everything sounds so much better with the Mac.
No Tuner Module, tho.
Maybe the 6700 is its replacement.

Your right. More specifically a receiver is a preamp, power amp, and tuner in one chassis. And in some newer units a dac too.

That the pre/amp section are from a well KNOWN model. So the OP can google a review of that model in order to form his opinion.
