I own 2 qinpu A6000 MKII and they sound fine. Since I have two identical amps is there any way I could configure the inputs and speaker outs to have each drive one channel?

I would split the inputs so each would drive just one channel.

Might be nice to see how they sound driving Ref 3A DeCapo I speakers "dual mono" if there was a way to do it.

thanks,
Ken

When I originally owned the ARC Classic 60 amp,I bought a second unit.I found out from the speaker manufacturer that I should have bought a MONSTER amp.On that info,I cancelled the purchase and had a tech convert them to the first pair of Classic 120 monos.I believe that the input of one channel is fed to both of the stereo channels and one output is bridged to the second.
Shouldn't cost more than $1-200,depending on the tech.
Of course when I moved on,they needed to be converted back to stereo before resale.Ever thought of just buying a single "bigger amp"??

why don't you bi-amp the De Capos with them?, posted on July 20, 2015 at 02:47:41

use one per speaker Ch1 for tweeter and Ch2 for the mid&bass OR

one amp for the two mid&bass duty channels and one amp for the two tweeters.

Simpler than mono-ing both amps and cheaper, and should sound quite good.

My recommendation is for one amp for mi&bass both sides, and one for tweeters both sides.

Less stress on the power supply of the tweeter only amp.

You reap MAXIMUM benefits if you go to some kind of line-level crossover.
Not much advantage with both amps producing a full-range output.

Also, power balance needed is very dependent on crossover frequency. If you cross around 400hz or so, the power needed per 'way' is about equal. Higher or lower crossover 'tips' the balance one way or the other.

I get away with identical stereo amp PER SPEAKER by low-cutting to the main speaker and allowing the sub to pick up below that point.
Too much is never enough

I had a Conrad Johnson MV60 stereo amp driving some Dynaudio speakers and felt like I wanted more power. I bought another MV60 and had them converted to mono. I sent them back to CJ for the conversion. I can't remember what they did but I think it was what Tidycat mentioned. The conversion took the 50x2 stereo amp and gave me a 100 watt mono block with a bit better damping factor according to CJ.
