I've have a Luxman TP-114 that has done me well but is starting to bite the dust. Sound is still great but remote control section has died(upsetting the Wife) and front panel freezes up every now and then.

Looking for used SS with similar sound, under $1200. Been looking on Audiogon and ebay. Emotiva, Marsh, Musical Fidelity, etc.. Tried an Acurus but found that the remote didn't control the input selector. Also seemed to have a harsher, tighter sound than my Luxman.

Any particular brands I should be looking for?

ML Ascent i speakers
SVS sub
B&K mono blocks

Balanced and unbalanced inputs/outputs, remote volume/muting/input selection.
Very smooth, refined presentation. Should be available for around $500. Original MSRP was in the $1k range.

There's a thread just down the page a bit that is raving about the new Parasound Halo P5 preamplifier. I don't own a Parasound preamp, but I own the Parasound Halo A21 power amplifier and it impresses me immensely. I am totally satisified with the sound quality of the Parasound Halo A21 in my system.

Here's another route you might consider... sell the B&K monoblocks (don't know their age, model, etc.) and get a nice Integrated amp.
This way you also eliminate 2 power cables and a couple of interconnects.
There are many nice sounding integrateds on the market that would mate well with your speakers.
Just a thought. Good luck.

I got a used Audio Research LS9 with which I'm pleased, posted on May 27, 2015 at 07:12:23

$850 for a virtually mint copy. Clean, neutral sound; multiple balanced and SE inputs and outputs; remote control. But does lack balance and tone controls.

Thought about a B&K to match up with the amps. Are they good?

but I really like the amps. Sonata m200 that I had tested and they pretty much doubled down to 2 ohms. My understanding is my Martin Logan's are kind of tough on amps.

You might take a look at Belles. When I worked at a dealership. This was the SS unit I thought sounded very good. Not sure as to what the remote does or doesn't control. The CJ SS pres were also very good.
