Some of you may have followed my initial review and subsequent posting on the P5, are aware of the progression

I am on the verge of moving the Maggie 3.5Rs out front using only the ribbons and moving the Swan Diva IIs behind, using only their subwoofer

It occurred to me to first biamp the Divas using the P5 bass management as the woofers without the bass management were too tubby

Solo Divas, no Maggies, although they are behind the Swans acting as room/sound attenuators

I am still getting acquainted with this set up. So far, it sounds real real good after dialing the slope back from ~ 100 when using the 3.5R bass panels > ~ 60 on the Swans

Picture is not accurate. Maggies are directly behind the Swans but ~ 2ft back

Let me add MY P5 update.

In a word? Terrific.

And that's IT. I use the balanced inputs from my DAC and the optical input from my small dish. Sometimes I use the headphone output for late night listening and can toggle the tone controls on/off as a preset sort-of loudness contour for late nite listening thru the speakers.

I also have panels, but driven by an A23 per side in biamp mode. Nice:

Have you tried the dac inside the P5? It's excellent

And if your transport has optical, I highly recommend WireWorld

I may still put the A23 back in when I flip the Swans to the bass and the Maggies to the ribbons, but so far, the system sounds great

Listening to familiar music over the last couple days, I just hear deeper into the music

Anybody with Divas (or any other biwire speakers) should consider the P5 for it's ability to dial in the bass to your room

The P5 optical is used from my Small Dish for TV watching.
While NOT a 'reference grade' DAC, whatever the heck THAT is, it gets the job done, prevents Any possiblity of ground loops and even does well on the music feeds from the small dish.
A win-win.
I believe this configuration also minimizes chances of a ground loop ZAP daisy chaining thru my gear. Not that we get much of THAT here in Southern California.
