Anyone still using a Proceed AVP preamp?

I picked one of these up last year and I absolutely love the sound
of it. But I am starting to have problems with the display that
I have read many people have. And it has problems syncing with
the digital inputs. I have to select and re-select the inputs
sometimes to get the digital to sync up. But the DAC sounds
awesome in this preamp. Given how much I love the sound of it,
I hate to give up on it.

Anyone else still using one of these? What type of issues did you
have? Did you have it repaired or give up on it?

I am going to contact Harman this week and ask them if they still
do repair on these units.

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Great products at one time- a damn shame the owners/operators pulled out of this company?

Proceed was built at the Levinson factory which HK owns,. It uses Fosgate circuitry, IIRC. The top line HK citation as well as the fosgates were all built on ML assembly lines.

I have them listed as a repair facility. Ex Madrigal employee working there on service. I own a Levinson No 335 and No 433 that have been trouble free! They should be able to guide you in the right direction.

I had one a couple of years ago and agree it is a great sounding unit, digital and analog. Very flexible. Later firmwares support 24/96.

If I am you however, I would relegate it to analog only duties and invest in a separate modern dac. Having it worked on (especially by Madrigal/Harman) will not be cheap and it is 15 years old at this point.
