Opinions on Bryston BP26

I'm thinking about getting the Bryston BP26 preamp. I'm wondering what owners of the BP26 think of it. Especially interested in its sound staging abilities and its compatibility with non-Bryston power amps? I would be using it with a Audio Research 100.2 solid state power amp.
