I think their input impedance is pretty low, if I recall correctly. Passive systems would be hard-pressed, I suspect. But a very fine amp, no doubt.

single ended and 16k balanced, per a discussion I had with Mark Gilmore a while back. I owned a pair for years and was very happy with them driving my Infinity RSIIB speakers. I sold them after I built my 200wpc SET monos. The Gilmores are excellent sounding amps, but no match for a monster DHT tube amp!*

*Except on hot summer days when the tube amps can heat the room quite a bit, even with AC...
