$3000, ss, 135wpc. Cute.

Has anyone else noticed the CJ is sort of turning into an online company and Spearit Audio is their outlet?

I wonder if you can even get this at other CJ dealers.

I'll have to take a look at it, I didn't know they were offering SS again. Spearitsound has been selling CJ online for years. I try to support local retail when possible but Spearit allowed me an opportunity to be able to try CJ and own a set up. One of the benefits of online is being able to get access to things not available in your area. Sort of like Reno is to Pass.

Also, If more companies kept control of prices, buying from the internet when available locally wouldn't be so attractive. Some companies don't care and it's like a race on the internet to see who can give a product away at the lowest cost and no one can make money on it.

CJ has a few SS things now. Spearit has always sold their B stock at a discount. The best thing about CJ B stock is it carries the same 3 yr warranty as new regular stock. B stock might be a demo or one that failed and was repaired. They have a 2550 and 2550SE out there now too. Two grand more for the SE which has their best teflon caps and a resistor upgrade.

Thank you for the information. I have some CJ tube gear but would love to hear their SS offerings again. I'd be curious for an SE version too. Thanks!

My money was a couple weeks late at Spearit this spring--they were out of them.

In 2014 Conrad Johnson is not even relevant. They have very few dealers and there are a lot of companies making better gear. If this was 1985 they would be considered one of the best. Unfortunately that was 30 years ago.

I wish CJ made 3 channel versions of their SS amps, posted on August 17, 2014 at 21:11:25

That amp looks great, and I assume is a more modern iteration of the MF2250, just like the new MF2550 is a newer version of the MF2500. I'd love to audition one, but I already have an MF2250 that I love. Thing is, it's in a 5 channel system and I'm using an old Rotel for the center and rears.

I'd love to see this amp in a five channel version and, especially, in a three channel version. CJ has made 5 channel amps before, such as the MF5200 and the MET150, but never a 3 channel amp to my knowledge, which is a shame.

To state the obvious, a 3 channel will let someone who already has a 2 channel CJ amp move the existing amp to the rear speakers if the 3 channel amp is better, or use the 3 channel amp for the center and rears if the 2 channel amp is better.

For those of us using one of the older MF2500 or MF2250, or the new MF2550, in a multichannel system, a 3 channel version of this amp and of the MF2550 would be phenomenal!

Hey CJ - Krell does this, how about you? :-)

was the Evolution 2000 hybrid. That was a darn nice sounding and beastly hybrid.

I would like to see and hear CJ building another true power-house solid state amp. The Premier 350 SS comes to my mind.

CJ with JF at the helm continues to build extraordinary high end gear, AND offers support to legacy/vintage products. Well worth auditioning!
