Apparently, a good bit. But not much about "class" in America, which is an entirely different phenomenon and which connotes entirely different things here than it does in the UK. It think it would be fair to say that the thing that strikes most Brit's MOST about America is the utter lack of class distinctions.
There is no special sense of identity or entitlement that comes with the notion of "class" here. We pride ourselves on having a "mobile" society, in which anyone can by dint of hard work and dedication become anything.
Beyond this, I have no idea what "indoctrination" you are talking about.

But I think your view is a little rose coloured.
As for "I have no idea what "indoctrination" you are talking about", yes precisely, that is the nature of indoctrination.
at least SOMETIMES, you end up like a certain Aussie transplant we all know so well. (Just kiddin' ya dave c.)No, things are not perfect. People are not perfect. Human nature has obtained for millions of years, our contrapted civilization for mere millenia. But at least our ideals can be landmarks on the way to a better world, even if we ourselves fall short of them.
