I live in Silver Spring and used to go to NIST when I was a beltway bandit. I'd like to see that exhibit, but I don't think you can just walk in. If I get cause to go there, I will check it out.

It is in the main Admin building just in front of the NIST library in a separate room dedicated toJacob Rubinow.

can I enter NIST as a guest? Mr. Rabinow was very gracious to spend a long time on the phone with me in 1999, when I had repair questions about the SL-8E. A year later, I had several more questions, and I sent him a letter with a stamped return envelope. Unfortunately, I received the enclosed letter from his wife.
A professional association or a student group can arrange a visit. Or You need to find a NIST employee who can sponsor your visit. Not as easy as it used to be.

yesterday too and found out it was a no go. I will just have to go play with my Rabco SL-8E.
Thanks for posting all the NIST information, as I had no idea what else Mr. Rabinow was involved in. What a character and what a huge life accomplishment.
