I've had nothing but good experiences as a buyer and seller on Discogs (currently knocking on wood).
When buying, I carefully vet the seller via feedback. When selling, I limit purchases to buyers with a high feedback rating; if their feedback is below 95%, the system will not allow them to buy from me.
Follow Ups:
Just bought a record listed as NM and it was horrible. Contacted the buyer and was told they had sold the NM copy and shipped some garbage copy instead. Got my refund. Sad.
I quit eBay years ago over crazy types..
The guy in Detroit who went ballistic when I wrote his LP was far below what he rated it at.
The swearing and threats... wow.
Then the guy in Chicago who had his "Mother in the hospital' excuses. Both for tardy delivery, poor grading and failure to refund in a timely manner.
Every email had the same litany of reasons he could not provide any decent service. I am pretty sure it was a hoax.
A few sellers were polite and sold good records. I just could not take the crap anymore.
