It looks like it is easily reversible, by adjusting the bearing far enough upward. So if the mod is reasonably priced, I wouldn't mind trying it for myself.

MAS...that's the rub for me. Proper azimuth is extremely important in my system. What is done is just let that extra point just touch without affecting the azimuth balance. Maybe another way is to purposely set the azimuth too far to the left and loading (adjusting ) the extra pivot for the correct azimuth. I'm also wondering if that extra pivot would introduce a transfer of noise to the arm.... I'll have to wait and see.
