Sitting here listening to John Lee Hooker Title: That's where it's at !
ON STAX only LP he did on stax 1969 if I am right. Who cares I know but that is what I keep going thru all this trying to improve the pure sound of a LP like this here just the pure blues. Love it.

Hi, Good blues tunes are "moving," yes ?
Howz ur search for that Yaqin phono stage goin' ? If the other online stores don't help, you can get one easily on the bay, for less than $200. shipped to ur door and guaranteed ! Known as a $200. bargain, there is little competition at that price. The Little Bear 12AX7 unit gets around $150. but has no shielding. Unless you can build or modify stuff, that Yaqin seems like a good deal. Our veteran asylum member John Elison uses one in his backup second system and always raves about it. He says once you upgrade from the orig. tubes, it's very musical.
Something to consider seriously is the lack of second hand Yaqin 22 or 23 units available. Folks get 'em and they seem to keep 'em.....
Anyway, I wish you luck with your hifi searching. There are always great sounding, budget minded units to consider that satisfy our need to "listen to the music".......
Well it is still not a deal on the Yaq, due to the fact I dont have paypal and am trying to finalize a deal with a guy now but it is slow. Said just do buy it now and I could pay him with a Postal Money Order damn hard to make a simple deal we will see.
Well send the money order out today and see how this yaquin 23B sounds with some of my amps. Thanks all who took there time to help me out in getting it set up for purchase you guys know your stuff. Much appeciated.

We spend an inordinate amount of too much time selecting equipment...We should listen to the music more than the equipment !
Easier said than done for many of us....
Every change will be heard.
Once you've built the best you can hear without leaning, tensing and clenching, all that's left is music.
