I have an old RD11 which a friend wants me to fix up. he figured it needed a new motor an a linn replacement unit was purchased from the UK which turns out to only have three connections and no mounting ears.
So this evening I wade into the table and find out there is no mounting bracket for the motor with no mounting ears. I am playing with the unit and decide to play with the original motor. If I spin it up first and turn on most of the time it will spin and hold speed but sometimes its slows or stops. Upon closer inspection I see that there may be a clutch assembly built into the pulley assembly. So tomorrow I plan to get some krazy glue and put a drop on the underside of the pulley and see if I can freeze up the clutch and just let the belt do the slipping.
Does anybody have experience with this pulley/clutch? Thanks for any help or suggestions. Best regards Moray James.

Attached is a photo of the clutch I "fixed" on my RD40 it consists of thin felt, a washer or two and a circlip. The clutch was based on a dwg from Vinyl Engine from the RD40 manual the RD11 clutch may be the same or very similar. This has been working for about 8 years the only service it gets is a small drop of oil once a year or so. The toughest part of the exercise was getting the clip on without the proper size tool.
thanks for that the picture helps a lot. Best regards Moray James.
