Good job. It's been a while since my cartridge wasn't threaded to take the bolts. But I remember in the old days I would find short bolts so I could attach the nuts on the top of the cartridge. Seemed to make the whole task much easier.
Give me rhythm or give me death!

Thanks! I don't want to have to do it again anytime soon. At any moment, my hands could have easily slipped and sunk the ship. Incidentally, that was my first replacement ever, and on a table notorious for its delicacy.

That's why you leave the stylus guard on while installing the cartridge. That or remove the stylus if you're installing a MM.

Agreed, and so I did. The VTA needs a slight adjustment, but I'm playing it now, and it sounds, in a word, wonderful!

It does look a bit low in the tail...
I fitted an AT95E to a customer's table once, as part of a rebuild (I think Nancy Kerrigan could have done less damage to a record compared to what was on there!), and the customer was indeed grateful! They loved the sound of that cart.
While I'm not a huge fan of MMs, that cart is a great "go to" for getting up and running.
Cheers, and ENJOY!!!

It's a great bang for the buck, no doubt about it.

hours on a stylus. Click for each side played. Then divide by 3 to get the approximate hours on the stylus.

What a muse it is over and above the original!

Interesting, however given its initial sound quality, I may now rest easy knowing that it can only get better over time. If it doesn't, I'll not be disappointed, as it's that good here and now.
