I wonder what this Japanese audio designer dreams about. Pretty amazing , although I don't imagine the WAF is too great here. There's even a Gerrard 301 here- if you can find it!

..... like Opus 33 1/3 suggests, straight out of the movie "Forbidden Planet" and its 2nd most interesting character; Robbie the Robot. (the -most- interesting character goes to Altaira (played by a vivacious and aluring Anne Francis)
Getting beyond the novelty of that system build-up, "Mono and Stereo" appears to be an interesting web site. There are tons of banner ads on either side of each page, but also it seems chock full of articles. Anyone notice this website before? It seems to me like it just recently popped up.

I found it on dailyaudiophile.com which is a compilation of many audiophile sites.
I'm surprised that a reel-to-reel deck is not on top of the cabinet. The amp could be a character coming out6 of the middle of the cabinet like an emerging creature.

what a great concept!
Brilliant combination of the puer aeternus of many in this hobby
mixed with modern and retro sensibilities, science, engineering
and top craftsmanship.
If it sounds good, all the better!

"Puer aeternus is Latin for eternal boy, used in mythology to designate a child-god who is forever young; psychologically, it is an older man whose emotional life has remained at an adolescent level."
Not sure which definition is appropriate here. For many of us, I fear it may be the latter!

The ugliest stereo related thing I've ever seen! But thanks for posting--have to go rinse my eyes out now. :)
