Man, this pump is small! It looked a lot bigger in the pics.
It's a really nice looking pump. What is so cool is that it uses rubber mounting feet to reduce vibration/s. I just need to attach a power cord and it's up and running.
I finished putting the barbs on the regulator and just need to finish the surge tank for it.
Some have used two separate surge tanks for even more smoothing of air delivery. is this really worth the extra time/materials to do?
any info is appreciated.

Cougar, does the power just require a standard IEC connector like you find
on most audio equipment? Or do you have to solder?
Am in the market for a pump for my ET-2 and am eager to hear your
experience with this one. I've considered various types for aquariums
air brush setups and whatnot... and just not sure what would be best.
Hope you'll be able to report back!
a quick connect Molex type of male connector on it. I just cut it off and bought a 3 prong appliance replacement ac cord with one end already stripped. I just spliced the wires together with the standard electrical twist type connector both from Home Depot. be careful and follow the color code for electrical wiring. So the pump is up and running and I'm setting the pressure now as I write this on the regulator. The surge tank will be done in a few days.
I will give my thoughts before and after I put the surge tank into the air pump system.

Thanks, Cougar. If your experience is good with this, I'll likely follow your example.
A surge tank of moderate size ( gallon or two) and a laboratory in line check valve work really well (available at most lab and chemical supply companies, cheap)
Hi Unclestu,
Ok, I will look into grabbing one of these check valves.
Thank You for the info on the surge tank size.
The official Absolute Sound ca. 1987-ish recommended surge tank was a plastic 5 gallon gas can. Red. That's what I used within days of the article and the improved bass performance wasn't subtle.
Be sure to get red.

Thank you for the info. I will be having my surge tank made with PVC tubing that should be around the same volume as the 5 gallon platic gas container.
i used to take old propane tanks and adapt them and paint em
