Hi,
I have a Garrard 301 Cream grease bearing that I'd like to include in the regular rotation.
I currently have a Rega arm on in but can adapt to a 12" which is the goal. It is in great shape North American model - I'd like to explore bearing upgrades and platter upgrades.
Any one have experience with the latest? Looks like a few UK suppliers are in this space. Alternatively, any experience with tune-ups etc from USA or Canadian suppliers?
I have cleaned lubed it and changed the idler wheel otherwise I have not done any other mods.
Thanks for any advice.

I'd deal with the arm and cartridge. The bearing is excellent on that table. In my opinion you'll be going sideways. Changing the arm and cartridge will be huge. The bearing tiny and not necessarily better.
Some of his items have been reviewed here too . I have a couple (Thorens bearing and Garrard idler) of his pieces and they are beautifully made. PM me for his email if you want it.

Look them up and you can navigate the Artisan Fidelity website and get a feel for the options that they offer. No affiliation of any kind. Just a happy and satisfied customer. Christopher Thornton is a great guy to boot!
Thought I'd attached a pic just because I'm so proud of my Garrard 401.
It now has the following Artisan Fidelity upgrades:
Upgraded platter and inverted bearing
Upgraded idler wheel
Upgraded plinth and armboard
.
reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
Here you go...
That's one way to make a 401 not look ugly.
