Mozart 41 w/Toscannini, pushed w/ very cramped mono from '45-'46
Debussy La Mer w/ Toscannini, better w/ nice mono from '50An over used word to describe Kogan, magisterial. I really like his playing. Good stereo. Copyright says 1976 but it's originally Pathe Marconi EMI. I wonder when it was recorded. This is Connoisseur Society.
A friend gave me these and a bunch more. Lucky me.

Valleys of Nepture
I owned one just like it in 1971. It didn't have your plinth, but everything else looked the same. I bought my SME 3009 tonearm through Pacific Mail Order out of Hong Kong when I was stationed in Vietnam in 1969. When I got home in December 1970 I bought an AR turntable first and played it for a few months before upgrading to a brand new Thorens TD-125 so I could mount my SME tonearm. I owned it for a year or so before becoming financially depleated at which point I sold it and rejoined the Air Force. It was an exceptional turntable that I remember fondly.

Hi John. Sorry for being so late, wanted to thank you for your response and service. Hope you and your family are having a nice Thanksgiving.
afternoon, including Dire Straits/ Brothers in Arms, Doobie Brothers/ Toulouse Street, and Sir Elton/ Tumbleweed Connection....My wife, of late, has complained about my perseveration on jazz and classical. I love 50's classical in Mono.
I resisted Miles' Decoy and Freddie Hubbard on Pablo. Maybe tonight.

a Pat Martino jag coming on but I have to wait until my wife goes out for a while or, at least, until she mellows a bit from my last month of playing Bop, Hard Bop, and post Bop almost exclusively. I softening her up a little with the afternoon's fare of rock, all of which I know she likes. She's actually pretty good about tolerating my vinyl obsession!
