Hey,
Upgrading from my B&O Beogram 4002 that uses a Grado Gold Prestige stylus inside a Grado Blue cart to a VPI Classic 1 and as Grado Master 1 cart. Does anyone know if this new cart would be an excellent choice? I listen mostly to Rock. And Mofi releases are my favorite. Please reply and give me your opinion.
Thanks.

I don't think it would be a good choice. If you must have a high output cartridge, you could take a look at the better Audio Techinca MM carts.
The math is easy. The JMW 10.5 has a mass of 10.9g and a cartridge range from 7-12g.
The Grado Master 1 has a weight of 6.5g and a compliance of 20. From the Vinyl Engine resonance calculator (http://www.vinylengine.com/cartridge_database_tools.php#ResonanceCalculator) that gives a resonant frequency of 8.52 not including fasteners.
I can't comment on the Grado Reference Master1, but there seem to be a lot of reviews available.
