...any way to find out if this is an AAA reissue?
Follow Ups:
I just opened up my copy of this reissue. It is pink, but it has black flecks in the vinyl, some of them are raised. I am afraid to even try to play this back. Has anyone experienced this?
There's an entire thread on it over at the Steve Hoffman forums. Maybe someone there has had a similar experience. Hope it works out for you.
While I'm sure its nice to hear a re-issue of this title, the real deal to find is the pink vinyl original (which I have, and it sounds fab!).
"If the audio industry built gear that sounded as good as it did 50 years ago, there would NEVER be a need to re-issued anything!"
Thank you for the replies. That is what I was afraid of. I just don't see the sense in buying something on vinyl that was recorded, mixed or mastered in a digital format. Too bad...
Not all digital is bad just as not all analog is good!
Personally I'm in the analog camp but only because the super high rez digital formats are forbidden to us mere more mortals.
I have heard incredible sounding "digital" albums. I've also heard some real dogs in my time too.
Just because an album is cut from a digital source, doesn't mean that is is garbage. The Telarcs of the late 70's/early 80's pre CD were great listens, IMHO.

You're using logic and logic doesn't work with audio. You're logic is as faulty as those who use logic to decide that digital is superior.
You need to use your ears. By sticking to your logic you're missing out on some fantastic sounding vinyl. The only thing that counts is that something sounds good, not what it was made from.
I doubt it's analog. I know they claim otherwise, but a lot of those MOV titles are from digital sources. That's not to say they aren't any good; most of them sound fine to me.
I think I have that one on a test pressing. Are you interested in an mp3 of a song or two?
