I just received my Mint Tractor from Yip for my VPI SSM and JMW 9 arm. The darn thing won't fit over the platter spindle. The hole just isn't quite big enough to fit over the Super Platter spindle.
Anyone else experience this issue? I emailed Yip but haven't heard back yet.
Thanks
Tom

Yip promptly emailed back promptly and suggested filing it down slightly. I did just that and it fits perfectly now.
Thanks all of you for your responses.
Kudos to Yip for his great customer service!!

Good to hear you fixed the issue.
My own Mint for my TNT fitted perfectly. Yip does make them with an intentionally snug (custom) fit.
No point having a super accurate tractor with a sloppy spindle hole.

a dremel with a glass grinding bit to enlarge the hole, just go slowly and DON"T let the glass get hot, otherwise it will crack...
My Mint tractor fits snugly on the spindle of my VPI HRX super platter, and I have to jiggle it just a bit to make it slip all the way down.
You might try wrapping some extremely fine grit sandpaper around a pencil, just enough so the pencil/paper barely fits all the way in the hole, and turn the pencil back and forth in the hole. There may be a burr in there that is just proud enough to keep the spindle from sliding in properly. Just my $.02.
Do you have any jeweler's files? You should be able to enlarge the hole fairly easily. Just go slowly and be very careful.

Good luck,
