This one appeared in an article on Frederick Delius in this month's BBC Music Magazine, and I thought some of you might enjoy it, so I dug it out online.
It is Eric Fenby, who worked as Delius's amanuensis in the composer's final years. I can't imagine what that horn must have sounded like!

I'm sorry if the photo wasn't visible to everyone.
I typed the url into the "Optional Image URL" box, and assumed that was all I had to do...

Don't sweat it fella. I promise, we won't come for you in the deep of the night. ;-)
Considering that John Elison saw your pic OK, there must be some other mechanism at hand. You were aware of the fact that it wasn't loading properly BEFORE I made my first post, and had apologised for it in a later post. I however, didn't SEE your initial apology until after I posted that we couldn't see it. So, I also apologise if it appears that we are 'getting on your case'.
Be at Peace,brother.

I'm still leaving the outside light on tonight...

It looks just like this:
Thanks you John. Another poster had done the same thing, so I had seen the pic via another party.
GOD only knows why it won't load for some.
I didn't realise there was any issue with viewing the photo - it comes up fine when I open the post.

conjecture:
Player is acoustic. Listener must be in best position for accurate listening. My perspective may not be correct, but the size of that platter indicates a 16 inch transcription disc being played.
Note the thick cushions on the piano stool. Perhaps the subject was suffering from hemhorrhoids. If so that would account for posture and demeanor on display in this photo. ;-)

good morning - the photo did not open, at least on my system FYI
