Just wondered if anybody has heard any of them...there appear to 4 in total...finding "mint" original copies of stuff by the Ventures is something I've never been sucessful at.
I've had great luck with most Sundazed reissues, the pressings have always been great...

This stuff has been very hard to find in good playable shape since the 70s. I'd be very tempted if I hadn't finally got fairly decent copies of the originals.
I picked up VG copies of "Surfing" and "The Ventures" in Seattle last year (appropriately). Finally found a playable copy of "Going to the Ventures Dance Party" last week, after years of looking.
I started playing in an instrumental band in that era, and The Ventures constituted a large part of our repertoire. The guitar player and I went to see them in Vancouver a decade or more back, and the place was full of players our age finally getting to see their heroes, along with a new younger crowd.
I liked The Ventures and instrumental rock before it was called surf music...

i've heard telstar and agree with mcguirek. i think i read somewhere that sundazed only pressed 1000 of each of the colored vinyl titles so waiting too long may make for regrets
hoping sundazed does 'on stage'
Are these pressed at Quality now?? I heard they moved their pressings there...
these ventures colored ones were pressed at rainbo records in california. where sundazed presses is sometimes based on the licensing agreement they have. in this case the agreement with emi was to have them pressed at rainbo.
I have the Telstar/Lonely Bull LP and like it a lot. The yellow vinyl is quiet and the mastering sounds terrific.
Bought the Christmas one but haven't listened to it yet....:(
