Hey, Folks. I'm looking for a little information on the dlk model 3 speakers. I have a pair (first version) in decent shape, except the woofers and tweeters have been changed. (Mids and xovers are original.) I've found woofers that will work with the cabinets, and the original style tweeters seem easy to come by. My main question is: What impedance were the original woofers and tweeters?

Hendrickson, I'm sorry but I can't find any of my old DLK info. I did find a McIntosh C28 user manual. Not sure why.

I don't know offhand, but pretty easy to figure out, especially
if you know the crossover freqs. If the cab. label says 8 ohms,
the woofer will be that, or whatever value is on the label.Sometimes the values are stamped on the driver's magnet.
Last resort is to look at the crossover parts values....if you know
the crossover points, you can figure out the mid/tweeter ohms.

Unfortunately, I have none of that information. There is no information on the cabinet itself, and the original woofers and tweeters are gone. I was hoping to find the information without backtracking the crossover.
Personally, I would not mess with them. They were not that good of speakers in the first place. I wouldn't keep them just to have the cabinets.
Thanks, but that's not really the question I asked. I don't really care whether you like them or what you'd do with them. I have reasons for keeping them.
WOW, pretty harsh answer. I was just offering a suggestion. Try not to be such a prick with your replys....
Sorry. It was harsh and I apologize. I know what the speakers are. I worked for Schaak electronics back in the olden days. I lost a lot of gear and most of my literature in a house fire ten years ago. I just want to get a few things back.
