This is one of the cleanest units I've seen so far - no roaches. Hope it works. (Link to Ebay ad below with more pics including a nude photo with top off.)

Only one minor complaint so far. I have lamps with bigger power cords :-)

Clean it up and put better parts (caps mostly) in it. Tone controls are bypassable as I remember. And like all of their gear from then fun to look at.

I might also pick up the matching tuner. The bigger the pile the better :-)
Can"t wait to have myself a listen.
Pretty nice tuner -- better than average sounding, I'd opine, for a solid state tuner (FWIW).

I have no tuner right now except for an old Proton table radio so I'm sure I'll be happy with the CT-1010 :-)
it is a pretty good tuner. I used one here (the NH house) for several months (from whence comes the posted photo) before the rest of the hifi stuff got moved up here.
Nowadays, using this for "serious" FM listening (yes, once in a while, we actually still do some serious FM listening!):

Nice amp.I have fond memories of Yamaha gear from the late '70's.What year was that made?
According to the Orion Audio Blue Book, the CA-1010 was made from 77-79 with a final retail price of $670.00.
I can check the date on the sales receipt of my CA-610II (same model line) if you like
:-)

It sure looks good. New, in fact. Private seller, CL, what?
I bought the amp off Ebay from a seller in Canada. I'll be thrilled if the amp is anywhere near as clean as it looks in the pictures. Just being a realist as I've been burned a few times in the past.
those are great units and have been flying under the radar for decades. I think I've had that one. Or maybe it was the 810 and 610?? However I do remember liking them both very much.
Enjoy, I'm sure it sounds as good as it looks.
Those were killer units back in the day and to my ears still are today. Wonderful phono section.
I've owned the full run (410, 610, 810, 1010, 2010) and really liked them all.
Enjoy !
Dean.
reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
