Bought a 2245 and a Garrard Zero-100 Turntable with the second paycheck from my first job out of college in 1974. Was a great receiver and I kept it for over 20 years. I think I paid about $250 for the two items. Now I have a nice 2215 that feeds a pair of Klipsch Fortes, and that sounds great.
Congrats on the find and enjoy!

My first 'real system' was a Garrard Zero-100, Sherwood 7300 receiver, and JBL L-100's. The Garrard was the first to go, never missed it as I was forever trying to fix broken wires in the rotating head; wish I would have kept the Sherwood; still have the JBL's
I'll probably use the 2245 with a pair of Klipsch Cornwalls; yet to couple thembut I suspect they will like each other.
I remember the Zero-100. The build quality was less than ideal. I have a Type A that was built pretty well.
