I have a pair of WM4 and I fit a 10uF 630V solen inside the case. That's the only downside to those amps - the very low profile of the chassis. It limits the choices of components and any mods you may want to do unless you cut the chassis. A 15uF 630V Solen won't fit inside as an example.
Good amp with a bit of reno work.

Here is what I use in those and they fit easily under the chassis.I always go 50% higher in capacitance even with films because those amps need help because of the inferior iron.

thanks, Michael, I was looking at something similar here:

been a little resistant to go over the input cap rating, particularly when I read that you indicated that film caps have better filtering characteristics than 'lytics. In this case, the max input cap for a 6X4 is 10 ufd, in your experience the 15 ufd will work without causing any flashover from the rectifier? thanks!
Someone makes a tube. They say 10 uF. Based one something on the web you are willing to risk 15 uF? I don't get it. Increase cap size after the choke.

That was my bad..When I used 15uf and 20uf caps,I was no longer using the 5V4 rect..I was using Schotkys but my friend is running a pair W4s and he is using a 16uf film off the 5V4..While it calls for 10uf in the tube manual,it's also at a higher voltage but Josh did put inrush limiters in with it and he hasn't had issues. I agree that keeping at 10uf in this case is ok with the 5V4 and he should increase after the choke.Going to 15uf is not really that big a deal all in all..Look what Dennis Hadd does with a GZ34,hanging 1200uf off it..Talk about insane.
