Hi
Just by chance I could buy a Bogen DB- 212 Vintage Tube Integrated and Klipsch Heritage Heresy speaker pair from a guitarist friend.
Wonderful sound from 16 Ohm Taps to Heresy.
One problem when I connected my turntable only one channel is heard. So I took it for repairs and the they told me I need to recap all the coupling caps.
My question is will recapping with new capacitors change the sound ? Because I love whats coming out of this amp and do not want to disturb. Its my first tube and know nothing about recap. Please give your experienced advice.
Also if anyone has the operating manual for it?
Thanks

Thanks I told my friend who is doing the mods to go ahead. He said he will use the best Caps of same value and he said it will be good for another 50 years...
You will be a proud owner, for sure.
As only 1 channel is working, hopefully changing he caps will change the sound or, n this case, create sound.
Different coupling caps will likely change the sonics, but slightly. I doubt the signature sonics of the Bogen will be removed. Other components such as tubes & audio transformers reflect on the sonics too. I would not hesitate to have the service performed.
