Can anyone recommend a repair shop/service center in the Dallas / Ft.Worth area that specializes in the repair and restoration of vintage 70's receivers?
I have a Marantz 2216 receiver that needs the lamps replaced, tuner section aligned, cleaning and lubrication of switches/controls, and so on.
Cosmetically, the 2216 is in excellent shape and I primarily use it to listen to FM at night.
In doing some Internet searches I have found 3-4 vintage repair shops that specialize in receivers/tuners, but if I can find someplace local, then I don’t have to worry about shipping (damage and cost).
Thank you.

I used Tom North Restorations on a Fisher 500B and a McIntosh MA-6100 with good results. One man shop, but meticulous as all get out. He's over by White Rock Lake in Dallas.

Thank you for the reply. And, sorry about my late reply. I went ahead and made arrangements to get my Marantz 2216 restored by Many Moons Audio (http://www.manymoonsaudio.com/) out of Tulsa (Collinsville) Oklahoma. Many Moons Audio was recommended by an individual who does vintage electronics restoration, but had a much longer waiting period (3-5 years).
