Ever since I got the Yamaha CA-410II integrated amp I use in my garage system I have been looking for the matching tuner. They show up on eBay all the time, but I figured I'd wait and see if one might turn up locally.
Today a CT-410II appeared on CL for a whopping $35. I called the seller and when we met it turned out to be a guy I had sold a Luxman tuner to just last month. We both got a laugh out of that. We could have traded !
The rest of the system is a Nakamichi 480 and a pair of ADS L300s. Its a great little system that I most often listen to while cleaning records.

He has a better tuner with the Luxman and you have a better tuner with the Yamaha. Nice how that works out.
Nice looking set-up with the new tuner! I have a pair of ADS L7e's that I enjoy listening to in my office system.
I sold ADS back in the day and have owned the L300, L400, 710, 810 and the 1230 (my favorite!).
I've heard most every speaker they ever made and they were all easy on the ears.

Did you have much chance to listen to the L990?
My brother heard the pair I used to own and he commented in about 15 seconds that he could not listen to them. He has Vandersteen and I had Time Windows.
I do have 4 other pair ADS, 420/520/710/810 and keep getting more of them when available.

I own 810's and have owned 990's. The 990's need a lot of power to sing. 200 watts is not too much. If you listen to them with moderate power, what you might think is a problem with the speakers, really is the amp clipping. I drove mine with a VSP Transmosfet amp and they sounded fine. They also worked well with and Adcom GFA-555. Yes, I have heard Vandersteens and Time Windows. I like Vandersteens a lot but could never take to Time Windows or any other DCM speakers. The did many things very well but the did not come together for me. YMMV!
810's can run great on low powered tube or transistor amps. I guess that in itself is reason enough to prefer them, but with power, 990’s could do serious base. 12XX give you everything!

Though only a photo, I sort of think if the faceplates are the same quality as with the CA/CT610II units, I like the 410s looks better, less clutter and cleaner looking and probably not as much of a letdown when opening them up. The 610IIs are all case and almost no guts but, they do work okay.
...so I don't know what lurks inside.
Back when I was in retail the shop I worked for did not sell the 410 series. So, while we sold the CR-220 (bottom-of-the-line) receiver, we started with the 610 series when it came to integrateds and tuners.
I had never seen (in person) either of the 410s until I bought them.
They are handsome ...and thankfully sound good and are issue free.

It's the little victories like that which make this hobby/pastime/passion so much fun isn't it? I completely understand your excitement.
