Instigated by Sir Geoff to study quantum physics I have found a way to, shall we say, make love to two different women at the same time who were ten miles from each other. Quite a feet at my age! I am forever, and I mean forever in Geoff's debt for this. And another thing, at least Geoff's insults show some cleverness and personality behind them. I'm not so insulted by others insults as I am disturbed by there marked banality. Can't we try a little harder folks?? Tweekie ( spell check anyone??)

If you recall, psychic conflict was the payoff for Geoff who needed somebody equally invested in challenging him to create participation and controversy for his threads. Uncle Stu could never resist being provoked into playing the role and Geoff would be highly unlikely to ever find another such dedicated foil if invited to return. So this thread is an exercise in trolling of which Geoff himself would surely approve...
It seems the verb "lie" seems to be a bone of contention for Sir Geoff. Just let the Kat lie. For those that feel they must hear from Geoff - contact him directly or find a board where his input is welcome.
I (for one) am tired of the band width that is sucked up for someone who has worn out his welcome. The moderators have opted to lock the bull out of the china shop, and I applaud their decision.

Perhaps they were entertaining to some AA Inmates, but the posts tended to be based on promotion of silly products, intellectual subterfuge, and attention seeking. Clever troll bait and notions about nonsensical devices for sale were often based on the supposition that *actual listening experiences* were being affected by non-localized phenomenon and concepts based on the quantum level, which is so far off-topic from the humble nature of the audiophile experience, IMO. Was it just a joke? If so, I'm glad the joke is gone. Audiophile topics are ridiculed enough to have to view thread-after-thread of silly talk about intellectual narcissism rather than actual audiophile insights to share in the real world. Putting a photograph in a freezer for better audio is a totally lame thing for anybody to say, and simple attention-seeking, IMO. just my 2 ears

I REALLY like to read every day, something about audio. People that have been around the block far more than me, I listen to what they have to say. As a result, my system has improved immensely over the last ten years.
A recent thread at the Gon, the op asked, "What do audiophiles want from a cable?" Many audiophiles responded with excellent advice. Sir Geoff responded as follows: "Sorry, don't use em. The best cable is no cable. Ditto power cords." This is soooooo helpful. And some of you want "this" back???? Really?

I knew why he was banned. He was warned but I'd still like to see him back.
We met in person a few times and ate dinner and I had fun for sure. He had to face a lot of attacks.

seemed admired for being a jerk, his posts likely mostly read for his being a jerk (let's face it,
info wise they were usually oblique and sparse - the opposite of someone like Uncle Stu who actually
seemed interested in HELPING and INFORMING audiophiles) and yet GK still remained a jerk.Then he decided to be a JERK.
In that regard he's his own worse enemy.
I have hemorrhoids I miss more than GK's postings here.
The sad asylum were he's set up his banished kingdom seems a much more appropriate place for him.

I'm not justifying any behavior but you also saw all the hateful attacks toward him on most every audio board. Mods could have told those posters to stick to arguing the merits of products and stop with the personal attacks but they didn't.
There are almost always two sides to every story. I'm also not implying the two sides were even.....even

He is the only guy like him. I think a full half of the stuff against him is just bad vibes 'cuz he responds NOT like the rest of the members here.
I never once felt he was too evil, too nasty to be allowed to EXIST.
SO I still say let him back.
Hell, I would even welcome back Romy the Cat.
He is much too busy with his family and his own audio endeavors.
Wish he would but I know why he doesn't and I am one who took a fusillade from him and after a year or so I understood he was right.
I agree that Geoff should be let back in.
One would think at this point: if you think you are going to have nothing more to say than disagreement why involve yourself in his posts? Every one knows Geoff's ways. And he, too, should know when he should answer and when he should walk away. This would do much for his credibility.
Was there an aspect of his mixing business in with his posts? Not that that would bother me, either. Everyone knows he is the ultimate audio entrepreneur exceeded, by a good margin, by that COCONUT guy. I hope Geoff will take it as a complement that in my opinion he embodies the best and worst of what it means to be an entrepreneur. Of what use is the middle ground asks the anti-zen master?
Seems that letting people vote with their mouse click is how to have good discussions. All of us should try to refrain from making comments about things we don't care about. If you are not involved in some way with the subject of a post and know you have no interest, why bother? This is especially a problem at DIYAudio but it does happen here. (who could imagine?).

Those appendages he would wrap around those blue USB cables were hilarious enough but the fact, in my experience at least, those blue cables had to be THE ONLY USB cable I have ever used that failed. Some of them did not work out of the box. Some would stop working after a month or so. None were ever handled very much just bad construction, I guess.
Just searched for him and his modus operandi really hasn't changed at all. Except for the name.

Geez, Romy The Cat, I forgot about him. When I quit coming around he may have been one of the reasons, amongst many. Sorry, if I had a vote, which I don't, it would not be to bring back Romy. Geoff I would be fine with.
Geoff I always thought was harmless, he was kind of like his products, nothing to take too seriously.
And I have read posts over at Audiogon that were helpful to people.
When did he get banned? Is it just here or the whole Asylum? There are posts from a few days ago in the Isolation Asylum.
I've never met him, but I'm visualizing more similarity to a Ferengi.
I think Geoff gets a bum rap over his 'fun' business stuff.
Yeah they are often a ripoff. But the buyers already KNOW that.
So why say he is a crook?
Telling folks "This way to the egress" is not being criminal, it is being smart and playful.. even if in a mean way. LOL
And saying he is like Quark is not a bad thing. I would have no problem being friends with Quark, any day. I doubt I would buy into any deals Quark wants to make, but that would be mainly because I have no interest in them.
Quarks 'deals' are his business. He is certainly no worse than our own capitalists. Many of whom seem to have no problem selling fellow Humans down the toilet for a buck.
I hear that Quark is now in the cable biz.
You know, I haven't been able to figure out whether he's serious about the "stuff" he peddles, or whether at some point in the future he'll be posting across the forums:
