I first did do one side after listening for a while before I put them in.
First impression was that the Left side I put the filters in the volume was very slightly attenuated. Also like some of the upper mids were toned down compared to the right side.
There was a difference though, a slight better focus but some of the power seem just a tad down.
What I'm describing above must be due to the grunge that was on the speaker wire that is now gone.
I just did a quick assembly pairs to see what the benefits are before starting on making serious ones. I will let these break in and see what the sound is like in a few day.
I used Sonic Caps, Takman resistors, and Vampire spades. Do have another set of Silver Mica caps and Takman resistor for another set to try out later.
I will do some more serious listening tonight when things are more quiet around the house.
Follow Ups:
If you used .01uF value capacitors, there should be absolutely no audible attenuation of treble, unless the filter is doing its job of scrubbing RF. The -3db point of the filter with .01uF is way way up above the audio band.
it was the volume of the left channel that was very slightly attenuated. Plus, the slight forwardness of the upper mids where toned down with the channel sounding slightly thinner.Yes, I did use Sonicap .01uf 600v caps with Takman 10ohm 1 watt resistors
I did the right channel and after 6 hours of listening it started to get a lot better. The soundstage started to open back up to where it was before and everything was sound more focused now. Both channels volume are balanced now.
Like you said most likely what I was hearing was the crap the cables were picking up being removed now.
One thing I did notice now is on good recordings like the collector series from Freddie Hubbard which are great recordings, sounds even better now with the Freddie sounding like he is right there. So there is a Break in period with these as well. The sound is still not as forward as it once was but it's a lot better. Gone is that little smearing/slightly blurred sound around the instruments that was there before.
I will post back when I'm done with the Serious version of these filters.

Thanks for the report Cougar. What took you so long? I'm somewhat confused as to it not being as forward as before and at the same time Freddie being like right there. Can you please elaborate on this. Do you have Freddie's, yes we are on a first name basis, or will be when I go to heaven, "Reddy for Freddie"? If not it's a must. I was rather upset for awhile when he left. A bit to early. Saw him once live circa 1974ish. Tweaker
