Has anyone tried these Reflector made tubes? If so, what do you think of them?
How do they compare with standard 6H30 tubes, etc.?
TIA,
Wb

WolfBane,
I drive the primaries of a set of LL1660S PP ITs with one 6H30P-DR.
Does the job well. Sounds good. This valve is very much like a beefy 5687 as far as sound. No microphonics...very quiet. The valve likes higher plate currents 20 to 30 mA...built like a Russian Tank ;> 0
I think the MU is comparable to the 5687...
If you have the right application, it's worth the extra cash.IMHO

There were a number of threads asking this question, and the expert is Victor Khomenko of BAT amps. He wrote a number of things about the 6N30 versions including the DR which he bought up in large numbers.
