I have a pair of Silver sixties and I currently run either the JJ kt77's or Cryo treated Vave Art EL34b's. JJ's have better bass and upper freq. but the Valve Art have more mids and have a good balance. Thought the JJ EL34l's had a bit too much midrange which made them sound a little murky compared to the the others..... Hope this helps?

Did you have the the JJ E34L or the JJ EL34? From what I understand they are not the same tube and sound very different.
Yes. The JJ E34L can dissipate more power than the JJ EL34. The E34L should be biased a bit hotter than a standard EL34. In my experience, the JJ EL34 does not sound that good. The Svetlana (=C=) EL34 is better. Have you ever tried the 1970's Tesla E34L?
Sry to intrude. Carry on!
